Justice Minister nominee Han Dong-hoon made news on Wednesday as President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol unveiled his second batch of Cabinet ministers.

Among the Cabinet minister nominees, he received the most questions from reporters and became the most sought-after new nominee of the day.

Yoon's selection of Han for justice minister was considered a shock to some.

The star of the list of cabinet nominees from the neanderthal Yoon Seok-yeol. This is Yoon's right hand man, regularly in contact with Yoon's wife Kim Geon-hee, allegedly, to orchestrate the next prosecution of political rivals and critics. For some reason Korean prosecution offices couldn't figure out how to decrypt Han's iphone in an investigation that has been pending against him since 2020 for conspiracy and obstruction of justice in the so called Channel A News scandal. The charges were dropped after Yoon was elected. The democratically controlled legislature is racing to strip prosecution offices of monopoly powers of investigation, indictment, prosecution, and disposition of all cases. If they are unsuccessful, South Korea will descend into dictatorship. The so called People's Power Party is anything but. Why does the party logo resemble the Japanese flag?

You can't make this up. One critic described the nomination as an indication that Yoon Seok-yeol has no concept of governance.
